Mission
Our Mission
We’re not aiming to change the world. Yet. At the moment we’re focusing on building a body of evidence through footage and the experiences of the buskers we meet along the way that turns some of the perceptions people have about buskers around. The documentary will unite buskers across the globe — in the minds of our audience — while exploring the often unfair issues facing people who take their art to the streets. Once we’ve got the film out there, we’ll move onto perfecting the website, creating a widely available and easily navigable space for buskers to come and get information about busking spots all over the world. Here are some of our aims:

Helping artists
Street performers face huge day to day challenges, from bad weather and restrictive laws to the simple mission of making enough money to survive. We’re here to give them a platform, to give encouragement to those who have just started, to help inform people about the benefits that buskers provide (and thus relax stigmas against them and, eventually, laws).

Exploring and Expanding communities
Cultures, traditions, myths, geographies, rights, economies and individuals combine to form the urban canvas. We’re here with cameras to explore them for you, to show you who these people are who perform for you daily on the streets. We also hope to create a network of internationally-minded street performers (and enthusiasts), who, with a global perspective and some good evidence, can help make a change in their local community empowering free public art.

Forty Cities across Five Continents in Ten Months
We are travelling the world and are aware that this is having a big carbon impact. We have tried to reduce this impact by travelling overland or overseas as often as possible, but it has been a long and hard journey, and we have flown more often than we wanted too. We would like to offset our carbon footprint; if you want part of your donation to go towards carbon offsetting, then please let us know.
