The Busking Project - Documenting Street Performance Worldwide

Bogota, the largest and most populous city in Colombia, is home to the Ibero-American Festival. This biannual festival, which showcases local and international street performance,  is possibly the country's most important cultural event, but it's also one of the largest events of its kind in the world.  According to an article on CCTV, the number of buskers has recently increased in Colombia as a result of the current global recession. Many of the country's unemployed are becoming jugglers, musicians, and acrobats in an attempt to make ends meet.
