I could go on for hours about street performance in New York. Grand Central, Times Square, Central Park (The Mall, Naumburg Bandshell, Strawberry Fields), Union Square, Washington Square Park, Battery Park and South Street Seaport could all be described as street performance meccas. I've been filming them for years (check out www.undercoverny.com). Despite the 45 million tourists going to the city every year, a bad economy and more competition than ever before keeps NYC a tough place to make an easy buck.
