Santiago would be worth it just to see the Chinchineros. The capital city of one of the most bizzarely-shaped countries in the world, it is also a thriving cosmopolitan and very musical venue, highly evolved since the bloodthirsty dictatorial control of the disaster capitalist, General Augusto Pinochet. Another gem in Latin America.
