Pianolito

Pianolito (Peter Klaa) does not like mistakes. He also has a problem with the more capitalist buskers, with parents who don’t take control of their children, and with Barcelona’s thieves. In other words, he’s like you or me. What sets him apart from the rest of us is that he recognises he is a “monstrous” and “difficult” person who is tough to like. And when he admitted that, I immediately wanted to be his friend.

Thankfully, his personality is perfect for a great performance. Sometimes showy, sometimes subtle, his performances keep locals sitting in the Barcelona sunlight, taking in Debussey’s Claire de Lune or Beethoven’s 5th. Although amplified, he sets his amp to “unobtrusive”, letting people only listen to him if they want to. He is a musician first, busker second.

That’s insane. What did they call the police on you for? “Disturbing the peace?!”

This guy speaks the ABSOLUTE TRUTH! He literally had me rolling and I am going to watch this again after I leave this comment!

I busked and lived in Barcelona back in ’09 and the “capitalist buskers” are completely out of control! They even have police backup in a lot of cases! I shit you not!

Barcelona was the first town I ever played where OTHER buskers called the police on me!

    Absolutely disgraceful!
